Maryann Ferenc has spent a lifetime in the restaurant industry. A passionate advocate for independent businesses, Maryann started the restaurant Mise en Place in 1986 along with Head Proprietor Chef Marty Blitz. Maryann pioneered New American cuisine’s entry into Tampa Bay and led a downtown’s renaissance when, in 1992, she moved Mise en Place to Kennedy Boulevard at Grand Central Avenue. Maryann’s charitable work with the hungry and active support of downtown and its independent businesses has made her a visible presence in Tampa Bay, linking her name with the premier dining establishment.
